The Dreamiest Christmas Dress

Earrings Target (similar) // Necklace Target // Shoes Target // Dress: Hannah Everly on Etsy

This is the story of a girl who loves buying new dresses. If I could, I would buy a new dress for every occasion, not because I'm wasteful, but because I simply love dresses. It's like each one has it's own personality, and I love how I get to feel like different people when I wear different dresses.

That being said, I Love. This. Dress. It  S C R E A M S  Christmas. The green color, the velvet, the skirt and the wrap top and the low V back...I have heart eyes. It's twirly and chic and the most comfortable thing ever. Hannah Everly, the seamstress that made it, is a miracle worker. So glad I snatched this gem while I could. Check our her Etsy shop here :)

Merry Christmas!

Fall Lookbook

Recently I ventured into the world of Youtube and made a video. I've wanted to do this for a very long time, but never really had the guts/motivation to actually film...until now! I think media is such a powerful tool, and should be used for joy. So, I hope watching me strut around in public looking kinda dumb but also having a ton of fun brings some joy to your day. My sister and faithful Instagram husband was a huge help during this project; we both learned so much! Honestly I'd love to make regular videos, we'll see how that goes...give it a watch and let me know if you have any video ideas for me.

The Perfect Summer-To-Fall Dress

I bought this little corduroy pinafore dress last Fall, and it quickly became my favorite thing ever. Like, ever. I think it's the perfect transition piece from Summer to Fall, because it's cool on a hot day but can easily be warmed up with a sweater and boots. Plus the floral print fits both Summer and Autumn color shcemes. It's as comfortable as you can get, but yet I still feel like I actually made more effort than just sweatpants. And I always get compliments when I wear it! However, because of how roomy it is, I had a hard time finding a top that would look good and stay tucked in. A couple weeks ago it dawned on me that a bodysuit would be perfect. I found one in a rusty orange color to match the floral pattern in the dress, and I'm in love with the combo.

I spent forever looking for a watch I liked, that was also small enough to fit my tiny wrists. And I'm not exaggerating when I say tiny! I found this one at Charming Charlie's--it's adjustable, so it fits great. Plus it's rose gold, so double points! It's a bit bulky for my wrist, but I kinda like that look. I always feel so professional and on time when I wear it, haha.

Shoutout to my converse for lasting me through almost two years. Seriously, these shoes are phenomenal.

outfit post: valentine's day

this valentine's was a special one--my very first one*not* single! i had a wonderful dinner with my lovey, followed by a cozy movie night back at his house with family. then, when i got home, i found some yummy chocolate and sweet notes waiting for me in my room. it was lots of fun and super special :) i know valentine's day is a rather taboo holiday, in which you're usually either a lovestruck sap or a lonely, bitter singleton...but i don't see why it necessarily has to be that way. valentine's day is a celebration of all love, not just romantic. i have really beautiful childhood memories of getting candy and cards from my parents; memories that i still treasure today. plus it's four days before my birthday, so growing up there was always bunches of cute party decor in the stores. i may be a little bit partial.
i had lots of different ideas for a valentine's day look, from the classic little black dress to winter whites, but in the end, i loved how the edginess of the leopard print & black leather worked with the delicate nature of the pink top & sparkly jewelry. you can't tell from the pictures, but the hem & sleeves of the shirt are scalloped--super cute and chic ;)
if there's one thing i love about winter (besides christmas and cozy nights by the fire) it's that i'm finally on an equal playing field in terms of skin tone. everyone gets super pale from november-march, whereas i stay the same year round. while everyone is mourning their lack of a tan, i'm totally in my element. gotta love those irish genes!
i also want to add that i just learned how to curl my hair with a flat iron and it is quite literally a life changer. i am obsessed with the loose curly/wavy look! i'm seeing a wavy hair tutorial in the future...
so, how did you celebrate valentine's day?

i bit the bullet and bought myself a pair of overalls...

and i love them.

see? they're the best. it's like wearing denim footie pajamas, except this is fashion.

i've been obsessed with gold lately, and more specifically rose gold...good golly. i'm literally a sucker for anything rose gold. it's feminine, modern, and chic. and amazing.

early fall vibes

michigan is trying really hard to cool down, but for some reason summer just wants to stay...not that i'm complaining, but fall only comes around once a year, and now that school's started, i'd like a bit of a breeze to cool my psl :)

regardless, it's time to pull out the flannel and ripped skinnies!
^wonder why i have a pirate smile? yeah, me too :)

i love my converse so. much. they're like an old friend.

Summer has officially started at my house...bring on the grad parties, arnold palmers, and swing dancing!

They say a picture's worth a thousand words...this one screams Kate.

I love living on a dirt road. Yes, my car is never clean and yes, come springtime the potholes are the size of the moon, but come on...I can walk outside my front door and see this? Fahget about it.

I'll definitely be taking Quincy out for a spin more often this Summer :)

fashion: first snowfall

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Don't get me wrong, I love snow, Christmas, hot cocoa, fuzzy socks and fireplaces, but as the temperatures decline, palm trees start to sound more and more wonderful...

I've got some fun stuff planned for you guys, so stick around! I promise it won't be nearly as quiet around here as it's been recently-being a high school Senior is really exhausting. If you want to see what I've been up to, pop on over to my Instagram!

Here's to the beginning of another Polar Vortex winter!
